3.0si Coupe to Z4MC - worth it??

Just got rid of my 2.5 roadster and pick up the z4mc next weekend :D

Yep, its stiff, but my 2.5 had sport susp and my old boxster was very stiff. I know teh box takes some getting used to, butwhats the CDV modification and what does it do?

Stops you kangarooing around when crunching a change between 1st and 2nd at high revs.

I think.

I've done 30k without a modified CDV, not sure what it would be like with one now!

I changed after 35k, felt a bit different but I was used to it so it doesn't feel any better, just different.

Andy, you’ll have the 3.0si guys nodding in agreement with that statement, no sure I agree, but fair doooo's :D

I've had my MC for 4 months after a years ownership of a 3.0Si. I really enjoyed the Si and was worried that the higher ownership costs of the M would eat away at the pleasure of ownership but it hasn't bothered me at all. The amount of petrol it uses varies from a little more to a lot more depending on how I drive but I have to try very hard to get more than 5mpg less which equates to just over £1/day over the year.

What amazes me is that my insurance on the M is £150 less this year than the Si was last year.

I also have the comfort that in years to come, I'm not going to be thinking - what would it have been like to own an M.

Both the M and the Si are great modern classics.
