Finally got round to having the back box modified to a quad system, rather than a T-off the guy got a custom box with two inlets and two outlets giving pretty close to equal gas flow through the system. Its just a little louder than stock with a nice gurgle when it's revved too :driving: hopefully get a bit more noise once its settled  no drone at all however so reluctant to whip out the central resonator. The guy said he hopes it's the last one he ever has to do as the right pipe kicked his a*** received_2328246717469699.jpegreceived_687641348468771.jpegreceived_676228022943274.jpeg20200526_135704.jpg

I wouldn't say they were anything like stock :? very nice but very aftermarket & not dissimilar to the ones on mine

Do you think? They're almost identical to the ones I had on it, which probably means they were aftermarket tips  none the less i love the look of them, your quad looks great

Those were the tips on my original box

I was meaning as in originals are chromed & rolled , not polished & trumpeted .
Whatever i think you made the right choice

Ahhh right got you, i was more referring to the different styles like a big and small tip/ different shapes, I definitely prefer the trumpeted style to rolled

Along with the fresh paint job, that looks great! Something I might be tempted to do myself in the future.

Sometimes I think it looks a bit 'I'm trying to make it look like the M', but that's probably just me overthinking things as usual.

Speaking of me overthinking things, I like your plate with the INZ for your surname. I get it, it's good. But couldn't you have found one with a number starting 4?!

This one's mine :D ...

Thanks mate i appreciate that :D And i totally get that, I do think the M' has the edge on looks compared to the si so its not necessarily a bad thing to me as long as it keeps it's 3.0 badge and doesn't find itself wearing fake M' badges, thats a huge no from me.

RE the plate, I do agree that would have been cool to incorporate the Z4 into it but I don't think that was available and at the time it was the closest I could get to my last name, INNES = INZ35 ... A huge reach i know but better than a 'jamie' plate cost wise as you'll probably know
Nice Zed and plate though by the way  a JIZ4** plate would have been perfect for me lol

I see, makes more sense now you've pointed it out, but definitely a reach! And yes, decent Jamie plates are like hens teeth and extortionately expensive. I imagine if you're called Bob life would be a lot easier and cheaper

Not sure about a JIZ plate though mate, seems some on here are getting a bit over-exited about your car's rear end as it is!!!

I’ve got to ask the obligatory- where did you get this done and how much? :poke:

I’m sure it’ll go up in price now he knows what a ballache it is! :fuelfire:

Yes bob would be a lot easier to find  and oops, that would've been a huge mistake  I don't know what I expected including a picture with a female in the backround, I'm just glad she's in something decent!

It was done at simons custom exhausts in east kilbride for the hefty sum of £520, he had done a forum car previously, can't remember the username but he welded two backboxes together for equal gas flow, this time he used a single box with two inlets and two outlets giving the same effect.
His previous experience urged me to have him do it, in hindsight I would have waited for my dad's work to open back up and get a full system for about the same, but i had itchy feet
