Hi All!

Just had the top DISA valve out for a precautionary look and it has some play, so I'm looking for a replacement. It seems that they are bloody expensive from BMW (£300+), has anyone had any experience with aftermarket options? I saw that there are aluminium rebuild kits for the M54 but no luck finding one for the N52.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

EBay for a used one and a wanted ad on here would be my move.
Not tried alternative brands but I did get a used one from eBay and seems all good, touch wood!

NEVER buy a used one! The stock MAHLE DISA oil seal is sh*t, they will be flooded with oil inside and become sluggish! Unless you like me have the skill to open, clean, change the oil seal then seal them, stay away from used one!! They may look fine from the outside but 99% of them will not act properly when you connect them to the car and test with INPA!

Like the video I show here, but I didn't show the oil seal of the flap axis

Buy any aftermarket cheap DISA will be fine, all they do is full open and full close

Can pick up a Febi Bilstein item for £135 on ebay

Just double check the part numbers before ordering, as I've not checked
