3.0si brake discs and pads

Jamie , have used the above my my last 3 bm's & also fitted them to my coupe 9 months ago. Great qaulity & mintex pads supplied. Brakes work great & not alot of dust. The only downside is they do hear slight noise due to the drilled & grooved discs. This you will get with all drilled & grooved setups. On saying that it is very slight & can only hear it when no music & window down. I would recommend these discs & pads to anyone. Also next day delivery.

Hi. I've got a set of the black drilled and grooved for mine from Mtech. The company were a pleasure to deal with and as said delivered free .Haven't got around to fitting them yet. I didn't have pads supplied by mtech as I wanted some Textar. Bought the pads from Eurocarparts only to be told by my local Indy that the best pads he recommends are Bosch so I bought those instead. I have got dotted and grooved on my Westfield and yes they are quite noisy but in a nice way :D

Thanks Kermit - Humm I see they only do drilled, grooved and dotted discs.

What zero noise if possible and wouldn't want any possible buyer (am selling soon) to think they are cheap non OEM brakes.

Do I not need to worry?

Last time I bought Brembo discs from GSF

Jamie, give them a call ! Think they do various options. Mine are drilled & grooved only. Not dotted! :driving:

Thanks going to call them shortly.
Just not sure if to go for grooved or drilled and grooved! :)

Thanks

Jamie, ask them about the black coated ones, i have painted mine with silver hammerite, they suffer from the same problem as OE discs RUST !

I'm looking to get some new discs and pads all round next month, might give these a try, at £200 all in you can't complain at all, especially if they are coming recommended!

Drilled & grooved had on both z4 s with the special coating keeps the silver shine they are good with a slightly louder breaking noise but not enough to put you off.

I got drilled and grooved from them a couple of months back. I haven't noticed any difference in noise from oem.

They were delivered when promised and they fitted perfectly, would recommend them :)

Sorry to drag up an old topic - are these MTEC discs still considered to be a good option? Looking to change discs and pads on my 3.0si shortly and am looking for some recommendations.

I'm in exactly the same position ATM. I'm in between three sets to chose from - some brembo packages by an eBay seller, mtec or ECP - pagids , all roughly the same price.

I went with some brembo max discs and red stuff pads on the front of mine about this time last year. Done the rears with some pagids from EPC a few years ago. Nether notice any difference in sound from the brembo disc even tho there grooved.
