You will probably get more bang for buck in a pre facelift from a careful forum owner

This. Buy on condition and history, not age or mileage.

Knowing the history of the car and the kind of people who owned it before you is super important, IMO.

Can't argue with that mate

Ajayp, I was in the exact same position last week. Searching for the right 3.0si Sport and weighing up the many 2.5si's on the market. I eventually found a beautiful one from BMW Doncaster and I'm actually on my way now to collect. I ended up paying £10,486 for it with 12months BMW warranty, 6months tax amongst other things.

I don't think I'd have been entirely happy with anything but a 3.0si tbh.

My advice. Hold out for a 3.0si and I have to say, I love the Auto box with flappy paddles. -Whether I like the MPG, only the next few weeks will tell.

Hi mate, firstly congrats on the new purchase, you must be very excited on route picking her up
That seems like a great price coming from a BMW dealer, of course you now have dealer peace of mind too.

What if you don't mind me asking is the mileage on yours?

I think the mpg wouldn't be too bad but then I don't know what your previous car was.
I'd like to hear about it once you been with it a few weeks.

I think your right to hold out until the right car comes along.

No worries will get back to you once settled. Ill start a thread. Was a little concerned at the 16mpg I saw stuck in rush hour traffic in Leeds on way home but moved up to 24mpg at the moment with a little gentle play.

Car has 51500 on the clock.
