Can we all stop talking about new car excitement? I'm finding it hard enough to sleep as it is.

And I've just discovered 'muffler delete' on YouTube.

This is going to cost me, isn't it?

Definitely - the more time you spend on here the more your wallet gets battered!

From my memory of owning that car, it tootles about without any drama or drone but boot it and it sings nicely

Respectfully noted. Think I was getting carried away :)

Have decided that if no impending mechanicals need doing or saving up for, which by the sounds of it doesn't, i'll just be treating it to machine polish/paint correction & waxing to make it nice and shiny for what's left of summer.

Still hopelessly excited.

Hi, Donk is highly regarded on the forum (apart from his car advertising skills) :P
Rob

When you lot sell a car in under an hour with just a quick off the cuff few notes then you can criticise my advertising skills!

Anyone got the address for Saatchi and Saatchi?

You tell 'em Ron.....critics everywhere,lol.
Good work on the very quick sale.

To be fair, the car is the right price to sell and knowing the car when I had it and knowing how the current owner looks after his cars, I have every confidence that the new owner will be a happy chappie at sometime next week!

The car has some extra toys fitted that I knew nothing about as well !

Update:-
The car was delivered to its new owner yesterday and got an indicated 39,7mpg Not at all bad for a 3.0l six - so we wait of his post with pictures

Well I'm a very happy chappy.

Seller was an absolutely top gent, as was Ron, and it was fantastic to meet both owners who have clearly loved the car for the last 13ish years between them. It was a cracking handover experience.

The car is a belter, with more toys than I had as a kid, in excellent condition. I'm definitely appreciative of what I've got here. Already done 100 miles on first day of ownership and this post is brief as I'm off out again! :driving:

Thanks to Ron for his time taken in the many calls we've had prior to hand over and look forward to hopefully contributing a bit more to the forum.

(no, the side covers aren't for sale)

looks great! So happy my little car has gone to a good home. Hope you have many happy trips in it with the top down.
I will probably be booted off here now that I have an E350 Merc convertible!
