That sounds mental! Love it. Wish I had the know-how to do that to mine :(

You know a guy that dose Benjamin :)

I like the sound of that :D wouldn't let myself handle an angle grinder. I'd do more harm than good

Just done a couple clips. For some reason the sound quality is crap on my iphone. Tried to get a sound clip driving but all it picked up was wind noise :(

Why do the clips sound different or is it me?
The first one I really like but the second one I'm not so convinced :?

Was playing around with the position of my phone. First clip I had it propped up towards the exhaust, second clip was just laying flat.

Tbh both clips don't really do it justice.

Due to really liking the exhaust tone now I've put the foam back in the sound generator.

Any flybys yorkie? Like what andybeech did just so i can hear it on the move please?

MachineMonkey how much would you charge for this mod. PM if you like?

Have you or any friends near by who have a go pro etc? Or forum member who can help out?

Would like to hear more of the pops and bangs as it goes by.

Hello Yorkie Z

I'd be interested in hearing this as I've modified my back box to wrap a sleeve around all slitted tube within the muffler. It now sounds a little louder and burbles on lift off with no drone.

Where abouts do you live?

I'm going to be building a quad system..

what do you reckon I could do - perhaps lead one pipe out the side and split into two for the right hand ports, then on the remaining pipe, split that into two and use the existing exit ports?

Also - where'd you get the perforated pipe from? assume it wasn't that expensive? :)

(prepare thy self for an influx of questions probably at the end of this month :P)

I have done a DIY quad Mr sk happy to help you out also. Used one of your right ups on fixing stuff when I first joined. Happy to help anyway as pay back buddy

Have you got welding and metal working facility's? Happy for you to pop to mine some time if not?

That's a fantastic offer!

I've got a welder, but my ability is not, shall we say, excellent lol.
I've no real metal working facilities.. I've got a bench, vice, grinders and saws however :)

Would the box have to be removed to do this mod or would it be possible to do it in place?

Yeah you'd want to take it off, would be a nightmare on the car. Rather than unbolt it after the cat I just cut the pipes going into the backbox. Used 50mm exhaust joiner/clap to fix it back on.

No problem at all i just brought a sheet of perforated steel so if you need some bits let me know the size and i can post them out. Is it an arc welder? You will just have to be careful with the amps so you dont blow holes. Just let me know how i can help.

Ben if you want a hand doing this buddy just ask.

As for how much dont know as i haven't done one before. But i am happy helping people out doing stuff pay for materials and consumables welding rods gas and a few beer tokens.
