3.0 E85 VS 3.5i E89

Hi seen a very good 3.5i m sport E89 that I may put a deposit on over phone as it is miles away from me . I have a 3.0 auto E85 which I think is fast as especially with sport button on. The E89 has the DTC gearbox and is a lot faster on paper, just wondering what the difference is in real life. I will try and test drive one from a dealer before I commit to buying one

Funny that , that's what the gentleman who is selling it said and he had a 3.0 coupe before this e89
 
You need to drive one. They are very quick if that's what you want but slightly less involving than my Z4M which was a little more raw.
Lovely car to potter about in but drop the roof and put it in sport and it becomes an animal.
 
Having had both yes night and day. Performance of 35i is a huge leap forward but a slightly softer less one shattering ride.
