I have connected to the side light strip up top though it’s a different colour. Did you change your top strip bulbs? If so, do they just pull out?Jamie-innes said:Sgr74 said:I’m thinking about doing away with the top side light bit. With the halos, it really isn’t needed.
I think you could get away with connecting the halos to the top sidelights and getting resistors that plug in to stop any warning codes, or code it out. I quite like the top eyebrow![]()
They are sitting in the garage just now. So you are saying the sidelight bulb is just a quarter turn to take it out? It feels like a sealed unit. I don’t want to force it and break it.patriot66 said:I wired the top 'eyebrow' sidelight strip, the HALOs and the small LEDs between them ALL together as my side lights. I changed the bulbs in the eyebrows for some much brighter LEDs from Halfords. The bulbs in the eyebrows need a quarter turn before you pull them out, however when the headlight is in position on the car there is absolutely no access to them...at all ! Not through the access panel in the wheel arch or from in the engine bay...it's impossible ! Unfortunately it's a front bumper off and headlights off job to replace them

You can just about turn mine with your fingers as I put some vaseline on the rubber o-ring but needle nose pliers will definitely be needed the first time. Get good quality/reputable name LEDs and the brighter the better as you don't want them to fail prematurely as it's a real drag taking the front bumper off for two small LEDs...not difficult but a real PITAJamie-innes said:Sgr74 said:They are sitting in the garage just now. I remember them being very tight but they will turn and pop out, I think i may have even used pliers for some extra leverage. The bulbs are used were osram LEDs as I didn't fancy getting cheap ones and them failing on me a few months later, as patriot says its a bumper off job to change them
