2Xcite Angel Eyes Wiring Help

I am struggling to find any info on how to correctly wire the 3 pairs of red and black wires from a pair of 2Xcite Angel Eyes. Does anyone have any pics of how they did it at all please? I have searched loads of the forums but I've not been able to find what I need.

Talk to/PM Danstarr, he's fitted these to a pre-facelift E85

Does it come with any instructions? I take it the wiring plug fits the car correctly but that the AEs are separate?

Mine should arrive any day now so I'm interested in how these are wired up. I'm guessing the 3 pairs of black/red is the individual AEs and the brow light thing?

Wire each one up to a 12V source and see what they do? I was under the impression that the brows were connected to the sidelight pins, I'd be removing them and wiring the AEs to those pins.

Yes there are instructions and on the whole the lights are really easy to fit, however the description of how to connect the AEs is pretty weak. The main lights are just plug and play but the angel eyes just come with 3 sets of loose wires. I decided to wire them up to the side lights as most others in here have done. I'll post some pics of how I did it and maybe others have a better solution than my rudimentary method!

Thanks for that, I went for a similar approach but instead if wiring them to the pins I cut the wires and joined the AEs in parallel using a connector block.

I have never seen these units in operation so don't know how bright they are, but remember the law requires DRL's to switch off or dim when the lights are on.

If folks have already got them through the MOT wired to sidelights then I'm sure it's no issue.

I know as I'm just converting my AE's to DRL's and using a sensor wire on the dipped beam to switch them off. To do this I'll be using a GENLABS DRLR2 controller. Loads of similar stuff on Ebay, depending on what you want the lights to do (on/off, dim, dim on indicate, etc.).

Not sure if these will work but here goes

I just took the car to an MOT station to adjust the alignment of the bulbs and they had no problems with them being connected to the sidelights.

How come the eyebrow light is orange or is that just the photo?
It is more orange than the angel eyes which are white but the white balance in the photo exaggerates it.

Is it a bulb that can be changed for an led to make it bright white?

No I'm pretty sure it's a sealed unit. It doesn't bother me at all but when you connect up the angel eyes you could leave the side lights disconnected in my opinion.

Yes you can fit a canbus led in the eyebrow light...looks good

I have just bought a set of these and wondering whether I can be bothered to do them myself (or trust myself to do them properly!) or just get someone else to fit them.

Don't suppose you have any photos of the wiring?

Thanks
