Hi all,

I have recently installed the above but I cannot seem to get them to work properly. They have been wired in the same way shown in the youtube video below. Everything works as it should however when I turn on the sidelights only the indicators are constantly illuminated. Switch to auto or dipped beam and they turn off. I'm totally confused as the indicator wiring has not been touched but is obviously getting a permanent live from somewhere. The yellow bulb is also lit up on the dash.

Fairly certain it will be corrosion in the original multi-connector block (as shown in video). I had a bit of fun and games initially when I fitted mine several years ago now. Gradually I have replaced all the connectors with new 'waterproof' multi-block connectors I bought on Amazon. Also lined the back of the stupid wheel arch access panels with 3mm thick rubber sheeting to stop any water/muck from accumulating on the back of the headlight units and causing corrosion again. You can more easily access the rear of the headlights by removing the air filter box on nearside and washer bottle on offside. I have mine wired identically to the video and have never (touch wood :roll: ) had any issues since replacing the original corroded BMW connectors :thumbsup:

Yeah it looks like your lights did exactly what mine are doing. The connectors looked in pretty good condition to be honest but I will definitely take a look at them. I don't suppose you have the link for the connectors from Amazon do you?

A bit fiddly to fit but worth the effort :thumbsup:
