2xcite Angel Eye headlights

2xcite angel eye headlights. These have been on the car less than a year. Unfortunately one of the seals is missing from one of the headlights, but I'm sure they'll be easy enough to get from the 2xcite website. The garage who took them off lost it. They worked fine when they were on the car but I've gone back to OEM with an HID upgrade.

I don't mind posting to anywhere in the UK.

Price: £180 not including P&P

Location: North Tyneside

Hey koopa,

I could be interested in these.

I think I remember your thread on setting these up - are they plug and play now, or would I need resistors etc. to get them working without any errors?

Would postage to Ireland be an option?

Yeah you'd need resistors or you could code them out apparently. I got a garage to put mine in as I'm not very technical but I never got round to putting resistors in them. I shouldn't think sending them to Ireland should be a problem

I love easy to fix, simple repair, readily available ads.

If it were that easy / simple / readily available the OP would have done it. Particularly as there's a garage involved that could be held responsible!

Thanks koopa. Possibly stating the obvious, but barring the missing cover, I presume the lights are in proper working order, all clips/brackets in place etc?

Overall, how did you find their performance? The standard Z4 headlights are not great, and I've heard these are an improvement, albeit minor. How did you manage to get them leveled eventually? Any particular reason why you're switching back to OEM?

Yeah they're both in working order. You'd just need to clip them in and wire them up as far as I'm aware. The mechanic put Osrams in the dipped beams as well. I agree, it wasn't a big improvement, but still better than standard and also I never got them levelled but on my post someone was saying it was easy enough.

My intention was to use the 2xcite's until I got my original near side headlight all cleaned up, but I never got round to it. Then I got an opportunity to buy some good condition OE headlights for a very good price so bought those and stuck an HID kit in with LED sidelights.

The 2xcite's did look good but it was always my intention to go back to standard. If you're after better lights, I'd 100% go the HID route, but if it's the angel eyes you're after then these are canny.

I've also just checked and I've had the 2xcite lights on just OVER a year, not under! Old age man!
