Coming back from a recent trip to the Peak District the M went into limp mode with loss of power and speed restricted to no more than 20mph. I pulled over turned off the ignition and then restarted after a 5 minute break and all okay on the remainder of the journey back. Fault code reader comes up with 2D51 DME internal fault monitoring air path (2A2F also shown). Anybody else experienced anything similar? Cars booked in shortly to have the hydraulic pump motor repaired so may have to get this addressed at the same time?

Andy, I think it may have been down to a combination of the car standing idle for a few weeks and me pushing it a bit too hard. I took it back out for a spin again a couple of weeks back and all was fine then half an hour in it developed a misfire. Diagnostic throws our 29D1 combustion misfire cylinder 5. Threads suggest a few things but I might get the coils and plugs changed when the cars in for the ABS unit reconditioned over the winter. I've SORN it now and wrapped it up for the winter and will put it back on the road early in the New Year. Not been on the forum for a few weeks so I'm going to have to check what your latest Z is!
