If the O2 sensor is touching the steering rack then they have fitted the pipes incorrectly, it's hard to get them fitted without either touching the subframe or having the O2s catching. They would have to have damaged both banks though since both are the same.

Hmmm potentially.

I bought the Downpipes 2nd hand and they might of been off an 35IS

Would this make a difference? Looking at VRSF ones they’re the same downpipes anyways.

He’s going to replace both O2 sensors and move the one touching the steering rack. Weld it up and open it up somewhere more accessible.

From here he’s saying atleast this will give him a definitive answer/ readings.

He’s also replacing the gaskets at the turbo end as there was a small leak

If it’s not the O2 sensors and gaskets then I’m stumped.

35i and 35is are interchangeable when it comes to parts, it's just an ECU tune that seperates the two. The catless downpipes are the same on both and if he's suggesting he has to move the fittings for the O2 sensors then he's not fitting the pipes correctly. It's not easy but if you don't getting the fitting angle correct and he resorts to moving the insert then it's likely the rest of the pipes will touch the subframe and rattle.

Update

Got the car back with new O2 sensors

Feels a little smoother at lights not surging as much etc. Just checked codes and still mixture codes

He tested all injectors values as well as other things... all within the tolerances!

No idea now. Just going to put MHD map back on and drive it a while as is!

Can’t throw any more money at it for now.
