New to this forum, so firstly thanks for letting me jump in here.
Getting 29E0 & 29E1 Codes.
My car has 50,000 miles on the clock.
Over the last few months I have noticed it’s been starting a little rough at times .... high revs then usual at start up but then drops down to normal with the occasional rocking sensation at a stand still.
Throttle response feels more sluggish also.
My big worry is that my fuel consumption has gone up massively even though I’ve been driving it like an old lady!
I’ve had the following work so far:
Walnut blast
Cold NGK Spark Plugs
MAF Sensor Replaced
Cam Cover & Gasket Replaced
Smoke test ( All clear)
BMW diagnostics and program updates
I did have MHD stage 2+ but I’ve taken it off for preventive measures to see if it gives me any truer readings also.
These symptoms have always been there before any of the work or re mapping took place.
I can do a data log using MHD if someone could make sense of the readings.
My mechanic seems to just want to throw parts at it and pray. I’d rather try to get a definitive answer!
Looking at some other experiences and what i haven’t covered / replaced are:
Faulty injectors
HPFP
LPFP
Fuel Filter
Anything else?
