296 Wheel refurbished

I recently had my 296 wheels refurbished in shadow chrome, I contemplated going for an after market wheel but decided against it in the end as I think the 296 wheels suit the E89. At the same time I decided to take the opportunity to change my disc's all-round & paint my callipers black. Overall I'm very happy with the end result.

Nice job , always had a soft spot for 296s , they get very bad press but are a great wheel for the 89
Yes, it's a shame they get such bad press as I personally think there one of the better OEM wheels fitted to the E89, as mentioned I did toil with the idea of aftermarkets but decided I stick with the 296s, after all BMW would have invested an awful lot of time & money developing them unlike a lot of aftermarket wheels.
Touchwood I won't experience any cracks being on NRF, I've probably tempted fate now.

They look great. I loved my 296 wheels when I had them. Kind of regret changing them but after the cracks started felt it was the best thing to do.
Hope you have better luck they look really good after the refurb.

Thanks

Knowing the amount of owners who have experienced cracks It's a gamble every time I drive the car, so far so good. I do think taking the run flats off reduces the risk significantly though.
