Now that I have my 296 wheel in my garage all cleaned and polished with a nice crack I found a name and number inside nicely stenciled in blue it reads ...

AONAL 08114 ... I tried to find find a site on the net ... came out blank, so after having a real close look the "A" is actually a "R"

So back to faithful Google entering Wheels RONAL ...

Brings up this site ----> http://www.ronalwheels.co.uk/contact.php

So lets see now ... my pride and joy has wheels made in the UK, tires designed in Italy and then the tires are manufactured in Japan. The tires now have a 3rd Generation and are only available in Japan right now ..... How lucky can one be

Meanwhile I am dreaming up a round table design for my cracked 296 BMW wheel ... the table will be designed by a German / Canadian with parts ready available in Canada :)

I'm open for ideas on the table ... Chess Table, Coffee Table, Playroom Card Table, Bar Table for my Playroom .... whatever it will be it will be a nice conversation piece for years to come ... my $1,000.00 round table ... Any ideas Fellows :)

Your wheels were probably made in Germany, Ronal are a German firm, that website is for the UK distributor! Had to check as you had me puzzled for a bit! It did say on there though that their wheels are covered by a 2 year warranty, dunno if it applies if the wheels are supplied to BMW but maybe you can get the cracked rim replaced? :D

Sorry, you should check out the Home Page of Ronal ...

I quote ...

Ronal Wheels UK is a trading name of Race and Road Ltd. Registered in England & Wales: 04633696

Rolf-dieter, no offense intended, but even the homepage you looked at says they're made in Germany. "ronal UK" is a trading name for an official distributor. It's a bit like BMW UK, whose cars (mini excluded) are made elsewhere, only the distributor trades under this one name. I'm willing to be corrected if I am wrong... :(

Dev,

Thank you for your posts .... very helpful I am clear now thanks again.

(None taken, sorry about that for some reason, the page I get looks different then yours (gives the UK address)... must be the net playing tricks on us).
