Tell me about it, he corrects me all the time  His love of cars started quite early, when his Uncle purchased a nice, but previously unreliable Ford car with a famous previous owner

Absolutly blinding day out with really good friendly people ! Will defo be interested in doing this again! Thank you Jembo for being such a good organiser and leader and everyone else for pitching in / participating.

Great day out everyone! Big thanks to Jem for organising and for the great spirit and roof banter from all!

I've never seen so many astounded reactions from pedestrians - also on way back home passed a convoy of about 10 or so Alfa cabriolets - obviously they had the same idea we had!

For those of you interest in another hoon this coming Sunday check out http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=48248&p=730769&hilit=soft+top+sunday#p730769 for Goodwood Breakfast Club Soft Top Sunday!

Great run today folks. Top marks to Bing and Paul for sorting it all out. Military precision timing! Stops were perfect and I managed the whole run on one tank - door to door!! Mpg is 20 :) oh the restaurant was fab and food a refreshing change to standard pub grub!

Great people today - good to see you again Steve srutch (get those CSLs bought and on the boat - oh and drive your car more!!!)

Some cracking villages lines the route - tenterden and lydd I think we're my favs!

Oh - hope I didn't confuse whoever was behind me after we left from lunch and resumed the cruise. I split the group to head home!

Jamie

Young George has asked me to pass on his thanks - he said it was sick, which for the more mature members, translates to 'rather good' Or maybe he is referring to how my driving made him feel?

OK so it should go in the other thread... but this was our day so I'll post both here & for what will now become known as Z4 day...

Ladies, gents... thanks for making it the day it was & for being such ambassadors in every residential area we went through- quote of the day I remember was 'CAN WE DO THAT ROAD AGAIN, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE' after the Military Canal, with monsta ear to ear grins ... then there were lots of them.

Apologies for abandoning you all briefly towards the end of the marshes, I had to briefly experiment how quick that red TVR Cerbera was (or wasn't as it turned out)

HERO 2 Vid will be available, when the memory card decides it wants to give up its contents to my lappie, some fantastic pics earlier, otherwise here are my few, enjoy.

... all bright, bushey tailed & all ontime.

Battle

Lydd

Chapel Down

Food... yum yum

Yeah, the military canal was perfect - I love that road :driving:

And we were going in the right direction - just about everyone else on the road was heading towards the coast.

Well done again Jem

Top award for a local goes to the red Suzuki 4x4 driver
