Noticed a 2013 Z4 28i advertised - doesn't seem many around - right colour and mileage :D sent off an email to see if it is still available . Don't know much about the 28i - notice it has a 2.0litre turbo engine that says 0-60 at 5.7 secs ( for a 2.0 litre that's seriously fast ) what is the general view of a 28i ?
 
Z4 N20 is getting more popular, it's frugal and quite nippy. Without spending thousands you can get it to 300BHP if you wish.

100KG lighter than an 35i/35is and engine is quite far back - so turning is quite good - and significant improvement on handling (excluding cars with adaptive suspension)

I average 33MPG but on long runs I can reach 50mpg

Hi Gov, the late 2013 cars are lci facelift models but they didn't change a great deal-beefed up roof mechanism/different headlights with white halo's/swoopy chrome side indicators & one or two other things :thumbsup:

Was looking to change out my 23i last year and test drove a 28i auto. I was very impressed, it pulled strongly right through the range and the eight speed ZF box was a peach. Other members of this forum say the engine can be chipped to produce north of 300 bhp but for me it felt pretty lively in standard form. Apparently it's good for 40+ mpg too. I was sorely tempted to buy it but it just didn't have the glorious sound of a six cylinder and that's something I like very much so I passed on it - a fine car nevertheless, you should try it for yourself :D
 
Not a lot to say other than happy with mine.

Was going to mod it as said above but not felt the need to tbh. Enjoying it as it is. :thumbsup:
 
Well all I can say is I've had mine for a couple of months now and absolutely love it - a joy to drive, plenty quick enough (for me anyway) and reasonably economical - I don't know if is just in my head but I do find it runs better on super unleaded rather than standard.

Only thing I'd change is the tyres - runflats are very harsh and noisy. Now! I have what might seem a stupid, nay ridiculous, question - I'm thinking of changing to non-runflats - does that affect the BMW warranty?

Hi, glad you're enjoying the car.

Opting to non-run-flats does not affect your warranty
