28i rear brake pads service dilemma

Hi All,
Need advice. Changed brake pads but am unable to reset, keeps showing Red brake pad service light.
Is this due to the fact that I did not change the sensor & if so can the car be driven safely till the new
sensor arrives. Wierd though that my car did not pop any signs that pad is wearing off till it was too late.
Data shows that it's -110 km from service. Lol

Many thks

If it’s showing the red warning then the pad wear sensor will need changing, to re set make sure you have the handbrake off.

Man from Wakefield is correct

Speaking of which using my scanner Im not able to delete the DSC scan fault.
I see that the sensor wire is pretty long, can someone give me a guide on how to
change it.

Thanks

You can’t clear the fault till you have a new sensor..follow the cable back to its connector..if it’s a front one it’s in the engine bay..I think the rear is still in the wheel arch area ?

Hi B21, was looking at where the rear sensor was connected too, as you said it could be hiding behind the wheel arch
as I couldn't see any connection point in the wheel well.

Cheers & may thanks again

I remember now..the cable follows the trailing arm to the pivot point..underneath the pivot point is a plastic box which hides the connector assembly
