28i oil service

The Oil Service message has come up on my 2013 28i and I have a couple of questions.

1. Where are the jacking points? Can I lift a front corner with a scissor jack, put an axle stand in place and then do the other corner? If so, where do each go? If I need to get a trolley jack, where does that go?
2. What tool do I need for the oil sump plug? I have searched but can't find a definitive answer.
3. Any comments on 0W-30 vs 5W-30 oil. I am in southern England and whilst I may venture 'oop North', the car won't be going abroad. I haven't been able to find any generic recommendations based on typical temperatures.

There are 4 points under the sills with 4 plastic pucks identifying their position..other positions shown on pic

The plastic drain plug uses a 12mm hex key ..maybe 2mm either side..

0W-30 is the optimum grade for a N20 engine assuming fuel economy is not your highest priority

Thanks for this. At Point 1 on the main diagram, there is a flat plate and a cut-out towards the rear of it with a shiny, dimpled cover. Just to be certain, do I jack in front of that cutout, and can I just use the jack, or is it essential to spread the load with a bar?

Can’t advise on that location as I’ve not used that point..the dimple cover sounds like it should be avoided ..I assume the jack points don’t need supplemental support..

I use the kerb where i park my car, just run the front wheels up using blocks of wood.
I can just crawl under, not relying on jacks or stand.
If i didn't have a kerb i would make some wood ramps, cheapest option.

I have done the oil change. I put a bar across a low profile jack to spread the load and lifted from point 1 above. The only problem was that the front spoiler is so low that there was no room for the jack's handle to be pumped up and down. Problem solved by lifting on a side jacking point with a scissor jack and inserting the low profile jack at an angle so there was room to operate it.

The old sump plug was plastic like the replacement that came with the Mann filter, with a 10mm hex cavity.

You can dispose of the old oil at the nearest council recycling centre, wear gloves! Also, write up what you did on a piece of paper describing exactly what you did with receipts to prove an oil change was carried out and mark the service book accordingly.
