28i m sport spec disapointment

For me heated seats are a must, cruise isn't something I was bothered about and PDC is great to have but if I could only keep one of the three then without a doubt it would be heated seats as they are superb and on the full heat setting they are so nice.

I had cruise on my previous 1er but hardly ever used it. Heated seats have been great this winter, and front/rear PDC is a must for me, parking on a small terrace where sometimes the only space free is barely bigger than the car :D

Yes the dreaded boing !
The speed limiter is set with a one push on the steering wheel at the desired speed and unless the throttle is floored the car won't exceed the set speed ! It's very useful in town situations .

Heated seats I just love em and BMW ones seem to be the hottest I've come across.

Not tried the E89 ones but my S5 has 6 settings and E85 BMW ones don't come close to how hot they get lol. My back is red after sitting on max heat for a short while

The three settings on the E89 are great but don't heat up as quick as the Range Rover seats and they seem to have two settings oven temp like 200 degrees and volcano temp. After 45 seconds I switched them off! Far too hot........if that's possible. E89 are just toasty

My mother dies everytime there is a 'boing' from her car. Bad experiences with BMW bongs on the past.

Re the speed limiter, might give that a bash seen as we are about to get a citywide 20mph limit

Heated seats a must and cruise control is very handy when you encounter all these 50mph zones covered by average speed cameras. Set it to 53 and relax

I made the big mistake of setting the boing to 100mph in Germany last year - it alerted my wife far to early!
I reset it to 150 and it never went off again. :)

In Germany it should have gone off at least once just for the hell of it

The noise from her ladyship in the passengers seat was too much !
It started at about 120 and got way too much to concentrate at 140.

It's worth saying tho, that the Autobahn isn't the race track a lot of us Brits think it is. There are only some sections without speed limits and I don't think speed limits are as well posted as they are in the UK.
I'm also still very wary of lane changers - but they aren't so common in Germany as they are in the UK
