28i m sport spec disapointment

I picked up my 28i m sport presuming cruise control ,parking sensors, heated seats were standard.
I have in fact nothing ,zilch,zero.
I was so busy checking body work paint etc didn't even think about it till I parked up after journey.
I have some sexy 19" alloys but that's about it.
I guess I will have to enjoy the driving experience with no modern creature comforts.
I can't believe parking sensors and cruise control are not standard. Previous owner must have blown the budget on the wheels.
I didn't have much choice of cars to pick from to be honest as I wanted 28i with 8 speed auto.
 
Enjoy the new car but I am a bit shocked that you didn't check out the exact spec on the car as there is no way I would buy a car without finding out it has the exact spec that I was looking for :)
 
As soon as deposit was paid add was taken off their site.I wish I had screen shot the add . I had it in my head it had all options. I have enough boxes ticked to be happy just not all of them. There are not many auto 28i's out there.
 
I'm not 100% but I expect some of those options can be retrofitted if you want them in the future, someone with an E89 probably knows better than me though!

Well after having 4 or 5 cars with heated seats, and cruise control hardly ever used them

Only option I wish I ordered was heated steering wheel
 
Heated seats are great these cold mornings. Cruise control, got it but never use it.

Parking sensors at both ends very desirable IMO, but retro fitting not easy.
 
PDC is only an option with comfort pack I think which includes extra storage, wind deflector, cruise control and auto dimming internal and external folding mirrors. Heated seats I just love em and BMW ones seem to be the hottest I've come across.

Not tried the E89 ones but my S5 has 6 settings and E85 BMW ones don't come close to how hot they get lol. My back is red after sitting on max heat for a short while :rofl:
 
It is frustrating with BMW's and their poor spec as standard but I do think they seem to be getting a little more generous on the newer cars, heated seats are a must for me and I remember going to look at a M3 that didn't have them but the dealer said you can have them retro fitted if I wanted them, I just binned that example off and got one with them instead though.
 
I have just rigged up a ball on a string for reversing into garage. I really won't miss heated seats. Cruise control is useful though on long drives out. I will miss that.
 
Do any of the Z4 specs have the speed limiter ?
It's a useful bit of kit when the cruise can't be used.

PDC is part of the Comfort pack but also available separately.
