Hi Guys thought I would say hi - as per the title really cannot wait!!

Just one question - INSURANCE - with LV they require us to have a tracker fitted otherwise no cover for theft!!! Anyone else come across this - apparently it's because it's a desired model!!!

Never had any insurance company require a tracker fitted before.
 
Welcome and enjoy picking it up :thumbsup: regards insurance we were with LV when we had the Audi TTS and phoned them up to swap over to a 640d and they said that needed a tracker too, we just cancelled the policy and went with another company(RAC) and there wasn't any mention of it needing a tracker.

It was a shame to leave LV though because they were good if you changed address or put a private plate on there wasn't a charge whereas every other company I have been with have charged a £25 admin fee.
 
Hello. I have the same car insured with Admiral under a multi car policy. No special requests from them.
 
That's great to hear - and yes totally agree about being a shame to leave LV as up until now they have been very easy to deal with!!

I have a 35iS with Admiral ... no Tracker needed. Lets be honest. It is a desirable model but that is different to it being a stolen model ! They are so rare that they are not a target for theft to my knowledge unless someone knows better !!

Trackers are good but expensive when a totally unnecessary cost.

LV were fine with our TT and no mention of a tracker but they wanted one on the 640d though for some reason yet the TT was worth more because we had it brand new whereas the 640d was older and worth less.

It seems LV just don't want to cover certain cars.
