Hi All,

Well I installed an JB4 on the 28i, and did not know what she would do - as all the dynos have been on 328i none what i have seen on an z4.

However I would say this is no 35i!!! as since I have come from an 335i it is not compariable

BHP 302 @ 5100 RPM
Tourqe @ 360lbs @ 2500 RPM

Map 1
Shell Nitro Fuel

Hope you guys find this interesting

thats a great result, how much do they charge for this service?

£45 + VAT so £55

I wished i did another dyno without the JB4 installed - as I know from research BMW under quote the true BHP in there cars. As the 35i is more like 330bhp than the quoted 306 bhp

its always good to do a before and after test. a good result nevertheless

im considering chipping mine in the future, not to increase the bhp but to increase the low down torque which i feel is a bit lacking

Good figures, but he used the wrong shootout mode, should be SHOOT_4F!

Will have had an affect on the figures, an excuse to get another run done (this time compare without JB4 installed)?

Be interesting to see how long term longevity fares with tuned N20 engines,

Going by this it doesn't bode well,

Maybe stick with the 35i

Thanks for your comments, as your wright! I call them tomorrow for another go.

As the figures coming from the car, are very similar to an 35i BHP & TORQUE - but it does not drive like one. So I suspect the torque figures are incorrect. However I was hoping to reach 300 flywheel or 270 @ wheels. I update tomorrow.

I have spoken to the garage, and they have acknowledged the error - and going for an another visit next week.

As I was surprised with the results - as previously said it does not drive like an 35i

All that torque early on can't be good for your transmission.

I think DMFs suffer with heavy torque at low revs.

Hi

Took it back to the rolling road today, and it was quite an warm day - so I do not know if that caused the drop off on the BHP?

As said previously its not an 335i or 35i - but I beleive this is more an true reflection of the car.
