260kph speedo wanted

I need to convert my MPH speedo to KPH. its for a 2006 E85 with top speed reading of 260kph. I need one with KPH as the main display. prefer no MPH, but would consider a dual reading face provided KPH is the main outer readings. Seller must be prepared to post to Australia. many thanks
 
I don’t have one for sale, but could suggest you take a look at grabbing either a complete cluster from yahoo Japan auctions - there are quite a few 3rd party websites that enable this and help deal with shipping - such as Buyee.jp

I’ve used it for quite a few things and had them shipped to me in Thailand

Failing that, try some of the dial kit sellers like Lockwood out of the UK - I’m sure there are others operating out of the US too...?
 
Why from japan and why not from Europe/Germany?
Most germans speak english. Whether they're willing to send it or not across the world is a question away :wink:
Loads of them on german ebay or ebay kleinanzeigen, usually between €100-200.
 
Japan is a good option for a couple of reasons....

Firstly, the proximity to Australia would make shipping both quick and inexpensive.

Secondly, I don't know for sure if Euro dials are KMPH & MPH, whereas I know for a fact that those in Japan are only KMPH.

Thirdly, due to strict legislation about cars over a certain age, most of the cars in Japan are low-mileage examples - although the mileage figure wouldn't be a factor if only the dial faces are wanted... but still, low mileage anything means less wear and tear. Plus, the cost of parts in Japan is pretty competitive when compared to Europe.
 
I've never seen a car outside the UK with both MPH and KPH, the only reason they have both here is they have to legally meet both European and UK legislation, each demanding a different speed measurement
 
ll the imports we get ex japan have speedos that stop at 180kph. I'll check it out, thanks for the idea. My car was sold new in UK
 
I have one stopping at 260 kph from a 2007 3.0si automatic. Whether or not it's an automatic is irrelevant for the dials you are after.

Could be with you (including shipping) for EUR 125,-
 
You can buy the dial overlay kits specific to the Z4, might be the easiest and cheapest solution.
