Can you guys tell me if 255/45/17 tyres fit at my rear wheels?

WHEEL STYLE 32 ET34 SIZE 8X17

I've currently fitted 245/45/17 tyres. Will 255 be a problem ?

255 will fit on 8j but not ideal :? will be on the verge of looking "balloony" & may be unwise to press on in the bends with them

Will make handling worse? Front are 225/45/17
Found a set of Bridgestone Expedia S01 at a really good price!

So you're currently on 245 45 rears/225 45 fronts ?
Assuming the alloys are staggered widths you should really be either 50 front & 45 rear or 45 front & 40 rear to keep rolling circumference same

Yeap that's what I'm currently!

I know BMW gives 5-point difference on the tyre height between the rear and the front. For example on my 18 wheels it used to be 225/40 & 255/35.
I actually chose 45 tyre height on my 17'' to get even more soft feeling and absorption on the back since our greek roads are way too bumpy.
Haven't noticed any imbalance so far.
Don't you think 225/50/17 on the front will be too much for the Z?
Found BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE050A 225-50-17 at great price.

Small tyre height in Greece results in a definite wheel crack. Talking about Genuine wheels always! 8)

Hey im all for upsizing profiles to gain a better ride , 50s on 17s really shouldn't be a problem & as you have found sticking to the same 45 back & front does no harm either , im currently running 255 35 19 rears / 235 35 19 fronts & car handles great + speedo checked on TomTom is almost on the nail

Wow sounds stiff for the Zed.. :dizzy: :dizzy:

Ordered them today.
Bridgestone slighty used at low price.
225/50 for the front and 255/45 for the rear.
Let's see how 17 wheels suit with such dimensions on the E85.

225/50/17 front do not fit. They touch the wheel housings.
255/45/17 rear do fit, but had to remove my 1mm H&R wheel spacers.

So I'm currently on 225/45 front and 255/45 rear. Below the results.
