Tim.

Good find Tim.

Seems to back up what Maniac was suggesting (although I haven't read the whole article  )

I have this on both my Astra and Z (although I am an incredibly panicky owner), nothing wrong with either car, I'd assumed the road outside my flat was just a littl "ridgy"...whilst it looks like I was wrong, good to know there's not a fault with my cars

Curiosity got the better of me :) I've never heard of flatspotting caused by a temperature change only if the vehicle has been stored for a long period but looks like it does and can happen, I would have thought though the lower the tyre profile the less chance of flat spotting?......I think :?

According to the link you posted, high performance low profile tyres are more susceptible. It's certainly easier to feel given the lack of rubber cushioning the ride.

It does yes, my thinking was along the lines that there is less give in a lower profile so less likely to flat spot in the first place but then as you say a taller profile would perhaps give more cushioning so less likely to amplify any changes with the tyre, its an interesting take on it.

It's either I'm overly sensitive to it or the adaptive suspension on my car that helps it annoy me more. It's worse when accelerating which of course is when the suspension firms up. Can't feel it from the front only the back but I guess that's because I'm sat over the back wheels.
