245/40/18 on Front (Z4 E85)

Might look a bit chunky and possibly some rubbing.

What wheels do you have..almost certainly too big for the rims..I run 235/40 on a 8j rim and 8.5j rims

You would need to add the rim width & wheel offset for the answer to your quandary .
Welcome to the forum

The rims I am looking into buying come with these tires. They are ADR Kasai Design 18"; 45mm offset it looks like (45 written on rear spoke).

Thank you guys so much for your help!!!!

Nope nothing of any relevance :P you need to know what numbers are stamped on rears , , , should be a number between 8-11j & then a number between 25 & 50 with et before

They are ADR Kasai rims 18x9 and 45 I think is the offset (it says ADR 45 on back)

Forget them would be my advice , a 9j front with 245 40 tyre is going to end with a shredded arch liner
You might be ok with the wheels themselves if you drop to a 225 40 but will look stretched , a 235 40 ? I wouldn't like to say 100% if that would be your answer

I had 225/40 on my old 132's and it didn't look that much of a stretch.

It did wear through the arch liners when I had it on its hunkers though 😬

my 2003 E85 Z4 3.0i sits on a 245/35/R18 front tyre, on a standard 8" width front rim, with standard offset. standard ride height, and i get no rubbing at all on that setup.

The question is why?

It certainly won't improve the handling..IMHO
