I've got a 23i, it's just used at weekends. I looked at different options and decided that a naturally aspirated v6 was right for me (bad experience in the past with a twin turbo car), I was lucky to find a very low mileage car in excellent condition with lots of toys (it looks and feels brand new). It way not be as quick as my 4.2 jaguar but it's fun in sports mode and sticks to the road really well. I guess it's down to what you want to do with the car, the budget you have to spend and maintenance/repair costs especially if it's out of dealer warranty.
Just so you know, your car has a straight 6, not a V6
