I've decided to sell the Zed after six happy years. This is a thoroughly good car which has been cared for properly and used only in the spring to autumn, garaged every night and when not in use. Low mileage as it's a sunny day fun car.

Spec as follows:

23i SDrive - 2.5litre 6-cylinder engine; 6-speed manual gearbox
31400 miles, rising slowly as it's in use when the sun shines :)
12 months MOT (expires 17 Sept 2021)
First Registered 25 07 2011
Bought by me in September 2014 as a BMW Approved Used car
One previous owner (so I'm owner number 2)
File of receipts and paperwork.
Aircon compressor replaced this week.

I've pitched it to go, hopefully. I know it needs a bit of cosmetic work (rims, etc as mentioned in the ad).

My wife is from Saffron Walden. Nothing to do with your sale but I thought I'd mention for no apparent reason. :D

There's a coincidence :)

Nice colour combination. Even with the cosmetic bits, it looks like a good buy. I’m sure it will be snapped up. Good luck with the sale.

Surprised that there's no interest in this. Other than slashing the price :) any thoughts?

Nothing wrong with the car or the price IMO, just that most people on a Z4 forum already have a z4! Put it up on ebay and autotrader and i'm sure it'll generate interest no problem.

As you’re asking and just imho if I was looking for one, wheels are a bit marmite, non Msport Seats, no nav idrive. That’s just me obvs and no insult intended.

GLWTS.

No offence at all, useful. Thanks.

Obviously aside from the wheels which are easy emough to change, the car is as it was shipped :) ... It had 17's on it when I bought it, I guess it was specced as a base model with a few extras.

And of course I'm open to offers...

It’s a prefect colour combo and looks in superb condition, I just wonder if finding a set of 2nd hand 326 wheels in prefect condition or needing a refurb then adding that cost to your asking price might generate some more interest Graham, especially on other selling sites.

What about the M3 wheels Number5 has up and use your own tyres and increase the price to cover the cost of the wheels as suggested

Think part of the problem is also there are plenty of good 23i knocking about, i bought mine only 6 weeks ago, its a 2009 with 65k on the clock, great condition with full service history, new rear tyres and arguably the best colour combo of deep sea blue and ivory white, has sports seats, reasonable though not huge spec ..immaculate wheels, I'm almost embarrassed to say I only paid 7.5k for it..that's what you're up against in the 23i market.

Its a lovely motor with lots of positives and a decent price for age/mileage but you need to increase your catchment outside the forum really and be prepared to wait for that perfect buyer who is after that colour combo with the low mileage

Why spend all that extra on wheels, get a smart repair done on the one with a scuff (approx £40) and treat the scuff on the drivers seat, its not bad and an easy diy project

It’s not the scuff that’s the problem more the wheel style and non OEM wheels I was thinking Zed baron.

The wheels arnt bad looking just need a refurb and the bolster is nowhere near as bad as some you see.
The centre armrest is fixable with no parts to buy, just needs time spent to remove the centre console as the bits you need to put back in place are covered by plastic trim and the trim screws on from underneath.
The only other problem is its priced the same as M sport models.
You should refurb the wheels , fix the armrest and not mention anything else like the scuff unless it is really noticeable.

Now sold (pending final payment, deposit taken (via Auotrader)... thanks to those who have commented.

PS it went for 10 something "as is".
