224s, what are they worth?

Evening all,

Just wondering what my 224s would be worth? Rear tyres will need replacing imminently, fronts are good for another few thousand miles. Tyres are Falkens (can't remember the exact type, they're the ones most fit on here). Condition wise they've all been kerbed and would most certainly benefit from a refurb!

Considering selling as I have the itch for CSLs....!

I bought a freshly refurbed set for £450 recently. Though the seller hadn't paid for the refurb. So given they are sought after wheels I reckon £300 is a fair price.

Holy f**k

Beginning to think I should be selling paint

PHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Genuine lol Daz, nice one

Sorry for the thread hijack OP..... Actually, not sure it is a hijack, it's all relevant :D

Yes sorry OP

But now you know what you'll have to pay for a new set, you can pick up some used ones, depending on condition, tyres for between £700-£1200 ish  :driving:

Thanks for all the responses chaps; forgot I'd started the thread until this morning!

So I had kinda thought about CSL Reps; are these not a good idea? If they aren't any good then I'll have to put that idea to one side and get the 224s refurbed! :(

Nothing wrong with a decent Rep from the likes of bm auto sport.

x2

the off sets of genuine ones won't suit the si anyway

Thanks for the responses guys. I think I'll be waiting for the next tyre change now, as the 224s are dying . Might have to refurb the 224s in the meantime; does anyone have any recommendations for a refurb company in the Surrey area? I've currently had a quote for nearly £400 from Barons BMW in Hindhead (my local one)...

There's a company I highly recommend in Canvey, Essex (JP polishing) very reasonable and a proper job done.

If you need wheels to borrow to keep yourself rolling, you're more than welcome to borrow my style 32's

Im having my 224's refurbished this week, cost is £230 all in, and thats including a full strip down powercoat and refit tyres.

Ill drive the car to them (in essex) and leave it with them for a couple of days then pick it up, i have used the company before (paint it uk) they are a great bunch of guys and even give a 3 year warranty on there work.

RJS-Z4 that's very kind, thanks for the offer! I may take you up on that at some point in the next few months!

How much were jp polishing? I suppose it's entirely dependant on the size of alloys etc but ballpark? Did they collect/deliver and remove/refit the tyres too?
