Wowser..

Not being critical, but...
Is the ask, of £700 a sensible figure.
Bearing in mind: The mixed brands, of circa - half spent tyres; mix of older and current centre caps and the fact, the OP also suggests they need a refurb also..

Think I'd be listing the exact tread depths of each tyre and maybe also, displaying images of the insides of each wheel, too.

These will sell I'm sure and the best of luck with the sale

Thanks...

The tyres are mixed but plenty of tread 4/5mm on all. I had some spare centres but I have both new and old style.

As mentioned, they do deserve a better finish but they arent poor by any means.

Priced in reflection of rarity. Happy to provide more pics/discussions with buyers.

*Update

Original centre caps are now fitted. I have taken photos of wheel numbers from the inside. Happy to discuss a sensible offer if purchased by the end of the month  If they dont find a new home I will keep for future use.

Would you be interested in splitting the wheels and tyres.

I'd be interested in taking the wheels at the right price to replace my 108's, but don't require tyres.

Ok, well Ideally I'd like to sell the set and leave this for you to split and perhaps get a small return from the tyres.

What can you offer? 8)

Just my 2p, the thing with 224's is the rarity value, as imho they don't come up for sale that often as a set as a lot of M owners like to keep their cars original. It's a bit like sport seats and facelift headlights.. They do achieve high sales prices as there aren't a lot of them about to choose from.

Glwts op..

And fwiw, I wouldn't part with my own set of 224's for £700..

Mike

Thanks Mike Im with you. Especially when you see that the only way to get your hands on these is a new set that set you back £1800 for the alloys alone. Ive seen single wheels fetch £300! :D

My BMW quoted me £1704 for CSLs and I hadn’t tried sopers for the discount. Wouldn’t pay £1800 for 224s. That’s easy for me to say with a mint set sat in the garage!

Shame this deal isn’t going anymore.

I've not seen a set of 224s make that money in the time I've been here. Last couple went for about £550.

Best of luck with the sale though!

Great deal 2 years ago @Truth :D

Ive had 3 special M's and this is my second surplus set of 224's, previously sold some for £800.

First person to display a want to purchase will buy im sure

Exactly. They're worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them!

Yes it was a great deal that is why I pointed it out.

Good luck with the sale I’m sure someone will buy yours. They seem in good nick.
All the best

As I said, IF 224"s are what you want, you are buying from a limited pool, so have to pay the price or do without..

Love 224s - I managed to buy a set last July off a fellow member, they are kept for spring & summer :driving:

It was a great deal I bought a set :D my only regret was not buying 2 sets

They transform the looks of my non ///M SE on standard suspension PERFECT

When roof down side covers are almost £200 a set of 224 look cheap.

Good luck with the sale OP
