224 refurb...what colour?

I have a ruby black MC and need to get my alloys refurbed (paint flaking) so wondered what colour to go for. They're currently the standard silver, but thinking of a change.....hyper silver, shadow chrome, anthracite, hyper black....not sure what colour would work best?

I did think of that...the colour does look kind of redy brown in the sunlight. Anyone seen any pics of gold 224's...?

Shadow Chrome first anthracite second. That's what I'm thinking if/when mine need refurbished but my car is silver/Grey.

I think those would be too dark for a black car - your's is silver/grey so a dark wheel works well.

did mine shadow chrome, really happy with the way they look :)

So, the car is booked in on Wednesday for this....thinking of being brave and going a bronzey gold colour, will be interesting to see how they turn out!

I think this could look good against the colour of your car.

I've just booked mine in with Adams & Page but am playing it safe with standard silver powder coat. Mine are in good shape but a few little patches of paint/lacquer are missing and I want to get the cosmetics perfect again.

So, got the car back today from the bodyshop (Premiere in Ware...very good btw)...I did bottle the gold/bronze in the end and went for anthracite with a silver fleck in it....looks great with the sun shining on it. Made me realise I need new centre caps for the wheels, mine look bloody awful. I'll upload a picture later on.

Had some new MPSS put on while it was in there and the ride is so much better than the continentals it was on before.

If it helps I would say don't be tempted by ebay copies. I've had two sets now, the first were on my 325ti and after a winter of salt started to look tatty, the second on my Z4 were too loose and rattled, losing one on a trackday. I have bought genuine ones for both cars now, much better. :)
