Z4 in for a service and Sytners have blessed me with a brand spanking new 2 series.

Proper nippy, almost silent, decent boot,
enough space in the back for normal sized adult, and comfy.

Very, very nice to drive.
I shall be very reluctant to give it them back.
I had no idea they were this nice.
I am amazed anybody drives anything different.

I don't *Get* the 2 series.. it's smaller than the 3 series.. but bigger than the 1 series coupe.. but similar engines etc.. I dunno just seems to be filling a gap in the lineup that isn't there?? Not that they aren't sexy though.

With the 3/4 series at least as I understand it now, the 3 series isn't available in a coupe?

I don't understand the reasoning, I do know I never considered a one series. Or a mini. Yet the 220i has caught my attention. Maaybe it just looks bigger but it works for me.

Isnt the 2 series the replacement for the 1 series coupe, just like the 4 is the replacement for the 3 series coupe?

So its just the new 1 series coupe with a different name.

Exactly, all to do with market sector and figures.

PICS?

Does it have the annoying turn off / start feature - drove me mad when I had a courtesy BMW - lovely drive in all other respects - though when I complimented the diesel engine I was rather shocked to be told it was the petrol version - eekkk!

All the 4cyl petrols sound a bit dieselly but I really like the look of the 2series went into dealers last week they had a m235i in the showroom looks the dogs my sales guy is going to ring we when they get there demo up and running looking forward to that.

Looks a bit dull :?

Looks like a 3. Don't think the colour does it any justice.

My E88 was a wee winner, loved it. Just a shame the roof was kak but if it hadn't been I wouldn't have the Z'd

The 1 series is a bit too small to seat adults in the back with adults sitting in front - I.e normal seating positions.
Could the 2 really comfortably accommodate 4 adults without amputating anyone?

I did 20 miles in the back seat today, a shortish chap sat in front. was okay, my head touched the roof but it was padded. I am 5:11. If you are used to a zed it is roomy, a five makes it feel snug. I have travelled much further with ryanair and that was much more uncomfortable.

It's a one series coupe, so it's no bigger.
