22 MPG in my 2.0

I had an issue with falling mpg on my E85 3.0. I traced it to an issue with the air intake. Replaced the MAF sensor and a rubber boot on the air intake side and now I get a steady 32 to the gallon. As an added benefit the loud pedal is more responsive too. :D

Think ive found my issue, a plastic air intake tube number 8 in the photo has snapped at the engine by the number 10. This pipe has the rocker cover pipe going to it and this tube then connects to the long tube which goes to the air box by the fan.

So just as Colb suggested

Some days the 'quote' function on this site seems to just do whatever it feels like!

Thats the loudest actual out loud laugh I've burst out with thanks to something online in a while. Thanks, [ref]Pbondar[/ref]. =P

I have seen 17mpg average, when I first drive my 2014 z4 20i, about 2 months ago in heavy Istanbul traffic. (Which was 159hp at that time, before tune. Now, it is 260hp and traffic average is about 22mpg.)

I believe it can make 30mpg, on an empty road, if you dont push it hard. I will try to note what I see…
I feel like I am driving f90 M5, in terms of mpg :)

Average on my 218i, 1.5lt, 136hp is 29mpg, no matter how hard I push it…

I found my overall mpg improved (+1.5) after I had a remap to 279bhp. More torque seems to make the engine's life easier.
Can't imagine what your issue would be, unless you have a binding brake or something?
Assuming as Rob says, your gallons are full sized?

Sounds daft but if these readings are being taken from your cars computer are they correct or has that gone wrong suddenly?
