Parrot kits come with all you need except an iso interface lead to connect to the headunit

After a fair bit of mucking about getting the Parrot control unit updated, I'm happy to report I now have functioning bluetooth ! :)

Quite a neat fit too in the ashtray!

That is absolutely brilliant what a fantastic fit!!

Would that ash tray be the same on a 53 plate 3.0l?

Also where do all the wires go?

Looks like a great fit, nice & tidy. Parrot kits are fantastic, I've got a CK3100 in our focus and it's superb. Connects far more seamlessly and smoothly than the Bluetooth in the Z4 with my phone.

Not sure if a 53 plate is any different but if the plastic "internal" part of the ashtray lifts out it allows a perfect fit for the Parrot CK3100... then you can run all cables forwards and up into the dash where the parrot control unit can be located.

Thanks for that yer mine comes out.

With regard to the cables do they actually run underneath the trim as i dont want wires dangling around?

Also what exactly do they connect to, is there an in car mic already installed in the Z4 or does it use the parrots one?

Any question (sorry) what is the sound like for anyone on the receiving end of the conversation? Does it sound like a normal phone to ear conversation?

I quite like where this person has mounted it, looks very OEM: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349569

Did the same in my 1 series about 3 years ago. Looked and worked great.

Parrot CK3100 fits just perfect if you take out the plastic tray bit within the ash tray. I had the connects2 lead aswell so it worked through the steering wheel controls, albeit the buttons worked in a slightly different manner to the factory bluetooth.

I had AVR mobiles install mine and cost about £250 supply and fit if i remember correctly.
