Had a late birthday run-out in N.Wales today and spotted a filthy black Aston Martin in a lay-by near Bala. As I drove alongside side it I could see it was matt black with bits of plastic/metal screwed or riveted on partially obscuring the rear lights and boot lid. The tailpipes looked 'wrong' and it had no badges etc. Two young fellas in it both with laptops and back seat was piled up with stuff also. The leather looked a dark terracotta colour.
Googled the registration and it looks like it's one of several 2019 Vanquish test cars. Tried to discretely take a few photos of it behind me and as it slowly drove past before pulling back out on the main road...it sounded wicked !
Apparently a 5.2 litre Twin Turbo V12 circa 700hp !!! :thumbsup:20180322_184506.png20180322_184616.png20180322_184717.png20180322_184748.png20180322_184851.png

If you spend any more time over that way you will be speaking fluent Welsh haha. Looks very Jag like from the front tho, and 6 series convertible from the back. Got to love an Aston tho :driving: :driving: :driving:

Very cool :)

I've been round the Gaydon factory and seen some of the mock up cars. It's pretty amazing what they do to the bodies in order to to test various mechanical parts.

That strech of road from Bala to Trawsfynydd must be one fo the best driving roads in the U.K.
