I’d like to think it’s not purposefully sponsored by Michelin & it’s not the models we’d fit on the Zed, though this article makes interesting reading when considering 2nd hand alloys+tyres

Would probably have helped if they had actually named the brand & tread depth of worn summer & worn winter tyre  as with most tyre tests make of them what you will
Tyre tests to have real relevance to the end user would need to be done on a like for like car too as performance in any condition is clearly affected by weight & driven wheel

I am with Mr Wilks. iI really can't see any useful info in there. Just an excuse to bang in a few adverts for tyres.

The one glaring reason why i would take zero notice of any of the above review / test is the Pirelli Cinturato tyre , quite simply one of the most overrated tyres ive ever had the displeasure of trying on a Z4 , they were nothing short of lethal on the 23i E89 , least whiff of moisture on tarmac the car literally snaked all over the road & hit a wet bend over 35mph it was just a lottery what side of the road you would end up on .
Id say as bad a tyre as ive tried on any Z & ive tried a lot :D

Great advice from one who knows his wheels & tyres.......

My main thoughts 4 posting were over the results for the 7 year old summer tyre - almost worst of the bunch.

Considering the garage queens are likely to be in the same boat, where mine with her Goodyear F1’s are approaching 7 years old... even if they still have 6mm on think I’ll consider changing next year with some nice new PS4s’
