2016 E89 Z4 20i. Estoril Blue. Manual. 30,000 miles

The car has very shiny exhaust tips, which are worth the asking price alone in my (OCD) opinion. :D

I have looked everywhere but cannot locate a photo of said tips

5th picture, first post. Best one there is. I took a close-up but it wasn't in focus so deleted it.

You will have to take my word for it, but they are very shiny. :D

Happy new year Pondy, cracking car, love the colour and is a decent price for the spec / mileage, will be a great buy for someone.

Cheers Sean. Happy new year to you too.

Put a deposit on a new car for the wifey today, so this will be taking up valuable space very soon. :o

I hope this one stays more than 3 months - i thought i was bad at least i have kept my Z4 and M4 2 years although now getting itchy feet again

Replacement car is arriving this week so I need to focus my efforts on getting this gone.
I will be advertising it Nationally in the next week or so at a very slightly higher price.

It's a really good E89. :)

If I didn’t have more cars than I can store already I’d be tempted to have this for the Mrs and sell her white one. Newer, lower mileage, rarer colour, higher spec, better performance & lower running costs …what’s not to like.

I think I’d risk all out war with my neighbours if another car rocked up, and we’re in the process of trying to move house too.

Good luck with the sale mate

It does seem a good price as well, a neighbour of my son bought a white one, 1.8i, double the mileage and 2013 for 11k

Thanks for positive comments chaps. I know you are trying to help with the sale.
I just don't think the market is there at the moment.

I could possibly do a deal for a forum member (if I like the look of them. Or even if not)!

It's a stunning car, but being honest your market for a very expensive, low mileage version is pretty small.

If you want it gone quickly, it would need to be cheaper. If you want what you're asking for it, you're likely going to need to be patient.

Three out of five of those words are correct.
If anyone can find me a cheaper (equivalent) car for sale today I will drop the price. I haven't found one, though! :)

There are six manual 20is 2014-2017 with under 45k miles for sale on AT. One is a CAT N so doesn't count, all but one have 10k more miles and are more expensive. The only other with 30k miles is an SE spec in white with no heated seats and is £14k.
So I fail to see how mine is 'very expensive' unless they all are. And if they all are, then they can't be! :)

Mine is also the ONLY estoril one for sale in the UK at present (that I can find).

The right person will come along for that car

I think its attractively priced. Unfortunately its a bad time of year for convertibles coupled with a pretty depressed market. If space is an issue then try to find some storage for a couple of months and advertise it towards the end of March.

I do have space to keep it, but it is not where I would ideally WANT to keep it.

You've kind of just proven my point.

20is start from less than £5k on Autotrader. That makes yours quite expensive for someone who's in the market for a 20i.

Unless (and this is the crucial point) they are looking for a late car, with low miles, in Estoril blue.

The reality is that, particularly at this time of year, there aren't loads of people wandering around with massive budgets to buy impractical cars. So the number of people that your car appeals to is REALLY small. And the number who can actually afford to buy it is even smaller.

It's a bind, because it's obviously a lovely car that is worth £12k to you. But sheer numbers means that you may end up waiting a while to find that other person who agrees.

This is the tricky bit with low mileage examples of cars that don't have a cult following. For example, were this an E92 M3 you'd probably find some lunatic to buy it no matter how you priced it.

I get what you are saying, and yes, in a slow market at the worst time of year it is not easy to sell.

Problem I have is when I decide to sell a car I instantly emotionally 'check out' from it. It becomes a 'problem' if I can't flog it quickly (in my mind). Previously I have priced cars very keenly so they have sold almost instantly (because everybody loves a bargain car). Doing that has cost me a LOT of money over the past few years. So with this one I decided not to do what I have done before as I am fed up with giving very good cars away! :)

I ONLY buy low mileage, good cars. They cost quite a lot more than an equivalent with higher miles and not so good. That is a fact of life (certainly lately). So I bought this one for a premium. It is still very low mileage so the premium should still apply (just less than before obviously because cars lose money). I WILL lose a significant amount on this car, so don't worry folks! :D
