Unexpected, unplanned - all of the above. Let's go with 'unforseen job uncertainty' which I've been stewing about for a couple of weeks with an expensive car sitting outside, and here we are. Apologies to forum regulars for some obvious profiteering here but I'll be maximising any sale within reason.

2015 (October) sDrive35iS in mineral grey
45k
1 fastidious owner from new up until the beginning of July, when I bought it - so 1 previous owner officially
Style 326M 19" wheels, Pilot Sport 4S all round, TPMS
Coral red interior
MOT June 2022, last serviced the day before I bought it
Options when new: heated sports seats, heated steering wheel, iDrive, front/rear PDC, 11 speaker audio, folding/dimming mirrors, wind deflector, USB port, DAB radio, cruise control, enhanced bluetooth, lumbar support, rain sensor, auto lights, wind deflector, tyre pressure monitoring, extended lighting

Maintenance in my ownership:

Updated navigation maps (v2021-1)
Replaced salmon red roof relays

Other things to be aware of/celebrate:

Powerflex bushes
Celtic tuning remap (can be removed at any time)
Wagner Evo 2 intercooler (primarily fitted as the previous owner from new lived in Spain, to help with intake temps - original will be supplied)
Goodrich steel braided brake hoses
Reconditioned/painted (blue) brake callipers
Custom flat top/bottom M-sport style steering wheel
Nextbase dashcam mount (hard wired)
Tinted rear window
Stubby aerial or whippy - you decide

The car was originally fitted with a heated wheel, so all the wiring/switch/slip ring etc. is all still in place - but the custom wheel has no heating element. If you can source a heated wheel, it will just work when fitted - but the custom wheel is a work of art.

MMI box fitted last week but is playing up, so has now been disconnected, but remains in place - iDrive is therefore completely standard.

Full, and I mean full service history - it has had interim oil and filter changes all over the place over and above the BMW schedule, spark plugs, transmission service etc. See Excel screenshot.

The car is as perfect as it was when I took ownership, which is to say pretty much immaculate. There is the smallest of small marks which I think has been touched in on the nearside front corner - I only spotted it on the first wash, you won't see it unless you look for it. 1 alloy has a small curb mark.

Prices from the trade: wewantanycar £20718, Wizzle £22100, WBAC £22195 - so I assume will retail for £25k+

Asking price is £22k firm - which looking around still seems 'reasonable' compared to other cars available, including other models in the range. This example is right up there in the top tier of examples I've seen on the market in the past 6 months, albeit with a slightly higher mileage.

Only advertised here, while I chill out for a week in Devon starting this coming weekend - will go with one of the quotes above on my return, or squeeze some more money on Autotrader and Ebay if I have the energy on my return. Private plate needs to come off before sale - will do so on receipt of £200 non refundable deposit.

If sold on the forum, I'll also leave the smart top fitted.

Amazing car - the step up from my previous 30i E89 just in raw performance terms (and noise :D) is remarkable.

Any questions, shout here or PM.

Tim.

History/maintenance - yes I did go through each invoice and receipt, it was actually quite therapeutic.

Forgot to add: I have receipts for basically everything, all presented in a plastic wallet filled A4 binder, 2 keys, original manuals/wallets and BMW sales literature. HPI clear, lovely MOT history.

Was only thinking about messaging you the otherday about the project e89 an if you fancied selling to let me know, just unsure if I want another manual,
Although I do need a chat about your vapour blasting business
Good luck with the car

Well that didn't take long! :o

Sorry to hear about your work issues Timmy - I hope things work out well.

Then you can get another Z4.

Appreciated, thanks - it's not all bad really, the tiny company I work for (~40 peeps) has just been bought out by a bohemoth (~340k peeps) so until I find my feet and conclude it's for me, the nervousness will remain and I can't shake it.

Back from holiday, washed the bugs from my last commute off the car and a quick vac, fitted the new plate, re-tucked up in the garage waiting for a new chapter.
