2015 NATIONAL Z4-FORUM MEET,3rd,4th,5th JULY

Always enjoy your videos Laine - great to relive some of the sections

Don't know how you managed to get a shot of your whale (whoops sorry just taking a lead from Laine), beautiful white E89 in that car park on it's own - and with the train - worth framing and up on the garage wall Jim

:driving:

So many pics to choose from but i picked this one due to the Coke Can lol

They all looked confused as to why the car wouldn't start, maybe the exhaust has only one outlet and its blocked by a strange looking object :P or they can't find Ians Can of coke,

Back home Monday night at 9:30pm, 1,104 miles total with a miserably 29.1mpg due to so many congestions on the way up on M5 & M6 between Bristol and Preston took us 11 hours journey with about 30 mins break from Cornwall to Crookland and oh! to some of you I mentioned 372 miles but I misread the mileage and it is actually 332 miles  . On Monday with the unpredictable weather we decided not to go to Windermere, Grasmere or Coniston, so we headed for home on the same route but the warning sign down the M6 saying that there is an accident between J20 and J19 so we detour onto M56, then cruise down on A483, A470, A40, A449, M4, M49, M5 then A30 home, took us 10.5 hours with 2.5 hours break (3 stops) with no hold-up, and that’s a lot quicker than the Friday trip !! …. Sorry for boring you…

It was such a fantastic weekend and there was hardly any traffic on the road apart from a bus :headbang:

It was so good to see the familiar faces, Craig3.2, Sammyz, Paulgs 1000, Jimbo1958 with a new white ele sorry E89, Grumpybri, Bladeowner and Curro with the new beard.
Seen before in 2013 but not spoken to until this year are Marypoppins, GJC72 and Metal Licker.

And the new faces are SK93 (thanks for ordering the beer) and Bradders75 at the last minute train stop, Keyper (I used Autosol Metal Polish with elbow grease, just rub hard on a small area about 5cm several goes until crystal clear then you will know how long it will takes to do both headlights, do a little bit on each wash day, my mate used tooth paste but takes more elbow grease and there are several method explained somewhere on the forum)

Finally Hilary and I would like to say many thanks again to Craig and John for the organizing the best National Meet ever  .

Thank you for the 1st prize in the raffle again in both Meet so is there any objection for the third one next year !!

And oh by the way, what great photos and videos by all  .

Never mind the first raffle prize you should both get a special award for furthest travelled :o

Glad you got back safe and yes - it was the best National ever - Steph and I think that as well  (we've only been to 3 though)

One memory that will remain is Brian's black Alpina in front and your black Alpina looming large in my rear view mirror

:driving:

Good wee post rjbaz...good to see you after your absence last year. 2 Nationals in 3 years and 2 1st prizes in the Raffle...give me some lottery numbers to put on, haha.

Hope you can make use of the watch

Yes, was an enjoyable National indeed, but funnily enough not the best 1 for me....that would have to be the 1st one we did back in 2010...though this year ran it close/i just wasn't as "buzzing" as i have been on the way home from the Sunday drive as i normally am...maybe as i wasn't getting to press on as quickly as i have in the past(due to my passenger seat limiter).
You always take it a bit easier when you have someone else in the car i find anyway.

That aside, we had some great routes as always, and mainly traffic-free roads on Sunday...so all good :driving:

Looks epic ( apart the carpark full of pot holes filled to the brim of muddy water  lol )
Why is the forum national meet so far up north tho, any reason as many wont or cant travel that far?

Cos it's in the middle?

I can understand the won't but not the can't ?

Done it the last 5 years and wouldn't miss it. 250 miles each way. :driving:

Don't know if you'd enjoy it Jonny and this isn't a dig but the cars do get "driven" and they do get dirty but the smiles per miles make it all worth it. :D

Just to reiterate what everybody has said. Yep it was a great national i was buzzing on Sunday on the way home but
i always think your first one is the best. :D

there no good mate.. I can still the driving in that white e89.

and i'm pretty sure he, like no sane person, would want to be seen in an e89 when the true king (e85 roadster) is close by.
:fuelfire:

(but seriously, the last three images aren't showing for me :()
