Pondering selling my car - have no idea of what to ask - what do the experts think?
First reg Dec 2014. All the extras. Regularly serviced.
Currently French reg - takes 2/3 weeks to re-reg to UK.
Any idea what I should ask please? Make an offer I can't refuse! ….

Name your price and see what offers you get
There is a Valencia orange one on eBay at 18995
With 30k miles on clock 14 plate same as yours
Would think yours is around 20k bit depends who is willing to shell out 20k on a car right now in this current climate.

Yes, thanks for that but it seemed to be an accountancy company! I can get the standard Autotrader p/ex price but they don't take mileage into account as far as I can tell. There isn't much on Autotrader of the same model, age and spec. I'm thinking of trading it in for an Aston but you know what car salesmen are like when it comes to prices so obviously selling it privately would be better.

I don't for one minute believe that you didn't know what ronk was referring to, but here is the link:

Oh dear! Sorry to disappoint you but I had no idea what wbac meant … thanks for the link though!

Judging by what asking prices are on Autotrader for much higher mileage cars and what WBAC (!) quote + offers I've had from 3 dealers for p/ex against an Aston I would take the best offer I could get over £22k.

I don’t want to rain on your parade but in June this year I was offered only £22k by the dealer against a new M40I
This was about the same as wbac offered on their web page

My car is Sep16 - 35is with all the toys / history/ one owner - it had 9.5.k on the clock - a recent check their offer was only £19.6k

Perhaps you’ve been offered a reasonable price ?
Personally, I would wait until the springtime to attempt a sale in the UK

(Sorry for the wbac / we buy any car confusion)

Everybody thinks/hopes their cars are worth far more than they're ever likely to get - truth be told I'd be quite happy with £20k, selling privately, which for a 7500 mile car I would think was reasonable - as a p/x against something nice probably £19k maybe from a garage. I'm not overly bothered but wouldn't want to wait till next year - I'd rather sell it for less to get what I'm after next!
