I suppose the writing was on the wall though. As Seattle spanked the snot out of the Bronco's in the pre-season. Bottom line was that 1, Denver made too many rookie type mistakes. 2, The Seattle defensive line was just so quick off the line when Denver hiked the ball. The pocket was collapsing on Manning just about every play.

The night was worse for me paulgs1000. I stayed up till 5AM CET time. Then was awoken at 8:30AM by the the fuel oil delivery truck that was scheduled to be here on Wednesday. The one and only time a German has ever been ahead of schedule and it had to be today. :headbang:

I did like the part when cornerback Richard Sherman injured his ankle. Too bad it wasn't his mouth.

I watched all but the fourth quarter as a neutral. A big disappointment really. On paper, the league's best offence versus the league's best defence had the makings of a cracker but as usual the old adage of "defence wins championships" rang true.

Sherman is much more than the outburst he gave at the 49ers game. Is it bragging if he really can walk the walk. He is, for sure, the best player in his position. He's also one of the smartest players in the game. Furthermore, he does a ton of charity stuff in and around Seattle. No one likes to see a player get injured.

The true Superbowl final took place a couple of weeks ago when Seattle beat the 49ers. The funny thing is that everyone was expecting the Broncos to easily win this game. They were just totally outclassed and Manning didn't get a chance to do anything.

Go hawks!

I was in Mexico a couple weeks back and a guy was trying to sell me a poncho , a Seattle Seahawks poncho, I already had some other Seahawks trinket and wasn't interested, but while scarfing down a fajita my wife presented me with the Seahawks poncho. skip ahead I was required to wear it for the 49ers game, obviously it worked as they squeaked through. Note; the Seahawks are my #2 team after the Cardinals and ahead of the 49ers. Hmmm, why are top 3 teams in the same division?

Needless to say my poncho is now required on all Championship games , but not the superbowl, 'coz I left it in Arizona. :D and they didn't need that extra bit of voodoo... :D

The press once again underestimated the best team in the league ....Seahawks rule

Used to watch this when I was in college but totally out of touch now. How are the Redskins doing at the moment?

It's never good to see an athlete (no matter who they are) get injured. Don't you want to watch the game with the best players competing? After all, isn't that what sport is about? I'm surprised people are saying this about Sherman. It just shows if you have one outburst people condemn you. He's a talented player and I'm sure he's learnt his lesson. I'm curious, did you hate Muhammad Ali?

I've worked with many elite athletes and one thing they all have is confidence. Sometimes, in the heat of battle, that confidence mixed with emotion comes over the wrong way. It was the same when I was in the army.
