2014 or 2015

I thought 35is from 2015 had some different internals which addressed some common issues?

I do keep an auto trader search open for 35is from 2015
for this reason….

I think the N20 variants from 2015 had similar internal revisions like timing chain guides etc.

The N54 internals were only changed early on prior to E89 production…the number of the bolts holding the flywheel was changed…

There were a myriad of changes to injectors, HPFPs, coils but that’s it…all N54s in all models were essentially identical..

The N20 did have revisions as stated to cam chain, tensioner, oil pump drive and later Euro 6 injectors ..those weren’t used on E89s…as I found out after several weeks of head scratching…

Whether you have the diffuser or not Im sure the lower bumpers on the 35i and 35is were slightly different with the 35is having a slightly different moulding around the tail pipes

The areas around the where the tail pipes exit are different on any I have seen.
Our 35i does not have the slightly flared out mouldings and is quite flat in comparison.
Compare this to your 35is bumper particularly around the tail pipes

Ah yes sorry I though you meant the two MSport versions were different..apologies..

I prefer the 35i look to the 35is look when the 35iis valance is in the same body colour as the bumper..

Just to much splodge of paint…looks like it’s had a prolapse… :tumbleweed:

Hence why I painted mine black and put the diffuser in yellow..

Just to throw a curve ball in, I painted mine silver to match the wing mirror caps and front bumper darts.

I am kind of liking this look although I am still not sure about either of the two M Sport rear bumpers, I can't decide if they make the car look more aggresive or if it makes the bumper look unfinished. Maybe the non M sport bumper but with some sort or valance would be ideal.

No offence, but that looks like something I cook pizzas on in the oven!
Is it non-stick? :)

Depends how you look at it, wasn’t till I did it it that every SUV I saw had something similar :headbang:
Might go back to black one day if I can be arsed.
