These GTRs are truly phenomenal, my mates got one and I drove it from Tewkesbury back up to Dundee, around 400 miles after having some tweaks done, comfy as your best armchair, it will eat anything you put up against it for breakfast......and lunch......and tea! Lambos, Ferrarris, AStons, Porsches, you name it.
Accelerated away in R mode, yep definitely 0-60 in 2.8 seconds! 650BHP, all from a diddy 3.8 V6 twin turbo, intelligent 4 wheel drive system sticks to corners like Sh1t to a blanket. Oh, did I mention its also a true 4 seater with a boot......... to boot! BUT.....it's a sunny dry weekend car! Drive the bloomin thing, you might be dead tomorrow FFS!
I'm afraid it really does highlight how.......unimaginative shall we say? BMW have been ref the Z4 engines, My mates diesel even pushes more grunt than my Z4 and returns almost double the fuel economy...or am I being too harsh? No wonder the Z4 engines are solid, they never work hard enough! .......where's my asbestos suit. Prepare for Incoming!!
