2014 London Meet

why do we need confirmation from ace kafe ? let's just turn up and take over the car park. I doubt very much that there will be someone on Sunday morning anyway..

Because someone else might have confirmed, and the CarPark will be shut / reserved for another group (example: MG metro owners club) and we'll all be stuck in the street.

The Ace Cafe has stuff on most weekends, it's a pretty popular place, so I doubt spontaneous meets at weekends really work out, unless we're gone by the time the meet starts. You'd really have to ask the Cafe themselves. It's possibly more convenient to arrange another meet location.

For example, from the Ace Cafe website:

17 May 2014
Transit Van Club Meet 6pm
Italian Car Day 11am

18 May 2014
Spring Sports Bike Special 9am
N.E.M. Car Meet 6pm

Can't we just meet at that pub that people ended up in last time in Beaconsfield? It was before my forum membership time but pics looked like the car park was big. Pub lunch could be an idea. Or failing that there's a pub in Harefield I know well with big car park assuming we are there early. They have an outdoor barbeque from May onwards :) with nice outdoor seating area. Hope I'm not stepping on toes making other suggestions.

Good idea, Ruby. I was thinking this too.

No need to actually drive in/around London as the traffic was pants last time. I'll ring the pub in Beaconsfield and ask if we can reserve their grassy car park out back for the whole day; at the start to hold the meet and at the end of the drive to have a well-deserved pub lunch. How does that sound?

I agree. Let's just see something agreed on, then we know if we are in or not - date and distance wise. If we can't all make it, just have another one soon! Any excuse to get in the car and meet up with some more zeds/owners tbh.

That's not really a "London meet" then :-(

To be fair wherever it would be held would be difficult for some "london" members. Not too hard to get to from Hertford.

Beaconsfield works for me anyway

Guys and girls, I have created a new thread for the Beaconsfield (London-ish) meet. Sunday 18th May.

Get involved.

http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=64438

I have transferred across the existing attendees from this thread. Hopefully you can all still come, it'd be great to have you all along and put some more names to faces. The meets are always a great laugh and a great way to spend a Sunday in the Zeds.

If you can't make it, let me know in the other thread or via PM. If you have any comments, whack them into the new thread so we can keep a track of it. I'll update the new thread with any more details, but it should all be there.

Cheers,

Dan

Sarurday 10th May is BMW day @ the Ace Cafe if anyone fancies it??

Is like to see a City of London meet maybe? Bishopesgate & Leadenhall Street, cheap side to StPauls, over London bridge and back over Tower Bridge on a Sunday morning.

You would rightly think this would be a nightmare for traffic, but actually on a Sunday it's as dead as the start of the film 30days later.

Would be amazing for pictures.
Anyone else think this is a interesting idea let me know and I'll organise it.
