2013 Z4 35is - NOW GONE

I like those exhaust tips - I have always been underwhelmed by the factory ones on my 35is. Could I ask where you got them and the tightening collars.

Me too, they've bugged me for ages now, you just can't clean them up at all & I prefer the polished look. TRP Performance in Walsall Wood, my local independent that I use for the more menial servicing tasks. I took it there for the brake fluid change, but they also do tyres, custom exhausts, mapping and dyno sessions as well as servicing. I'm sure any custom exhaust specialist near you should be able to do the same and supply the collars too. They're 3.5" (89mm) diameter short trims, I really wanted the "Jet style" trim rather than the rolled edge but they only had those available in the longer length. They would have stuck out too far from the valance due to only being able to cut the existing pipe just in front of the exhaust flap bypass section. They offered to order the shorter version in but I wanted it doing there and then!

If I end up keeping the car I can always change them at a later date for a different size or style without all the hassle of grinding away welds and re-welding  Hope this helps

I'm still interested if you'll reconsider.

Many thanks for your interest but considering what you paid for yours and your offer, it was quite a lot under where I'm looking to be. I'm in no rush, in fact I'll happily keep hold of her if she doesn't sell and maybe try again next year, or when and if the current climate ever improves.

I think the current price of £20,750 (Today's WBAC +12.15%) is fair considering it doesn't want for anything and is as low as I'll be going for the foreseeable.

GLWYS, I'm sure a buyer will come along soon, it's just a matter of waiting for the right one

They look cracking and fit really well.
There was another car on here that had aftermarket tips fitted but it made it look like a wheel barrow as they stuck out too far.

Yeah I'm pleased with them. Went with the slash tip as well so the exhaust line follows the curve of the valance. The slash/angle isn't as pronounced as the originals which are really quite aggressively tapered in comparison. I had to go with what they'd got but didn't want a straight pipe as they tend to look a bit wheel barrow 'ish' as you say

If only my insurance company would play ball I would be interested!!

Can't be that bad can it based against a 23i? There's always additional excess on the policy

Been company car driver all my life so no no claims bonus, had to fight to get the 2.3 insured at a sensible price, they would have hissy fits if I mentioned 35is

Nice car OP! Its almost tempting me hah

Cheers, it is. Much better in the flesh than pictures show and a very good spec too boot :D I'm thinking I could put it through a health check at BMW and also look at putting 12months MOT on for any potential purchaser if that tempts you any more? :poke:

A health check at BMW....   Oh Lordy that’s a good one.......

That would put me off to be honest, I’d much rather a good Indy gave it the once over, more chance of them actually looking at it on a ramp rather than a bored ‘tech’ wander over, lift the bonnet, slam it shut and wander off again ticking all the ‘health check points’ and being charged a fortune for the privilege...

Save your money mate seriously, if anyone is that concerned over such a low mile car let them bring someone with them.
