As some forum / FB folks know I've had an AY 20i MSport Auto since 2017.
Righly or wongly I've ended up buying an AY 35is which after a period of indecision I've decided to keep.
SWMBO finds 3 yellow 'toys' (2 Z4s and a Jeep TJ) too much so I've agreed to sell it.
I have spent an inordinate amount of money on the car and its clear that its not possible to recover those costs.
However some of those parts can be tranferred to the 35is (not that many), some have been sold to forum members and some can be ebayed.
So what I will be selling is as follows.
May 2013 registered (last AY UK car registered) 20i MSport Auto
56k miles, 2 previous owners.
Full BMW service history upto my ownership, after that it was much better maintained!
Specification will be as a normal 20i MSport Auto with:
I-Drive with 2021 maps
11 Speaker Mid range audio system with Top-Fi speakers from the 14 speaker high end system
Extended USB/ Bluetooth
PDC
Cruise
Heated seats
Wind diffuser
Extended storage
Extended lighting
Auto dimming and power fold mirrors
18" BMW 325M wheels- refurbished
OE Bridgestone Potenza run flats
Items that are changed / updated are:
28i front discs (all non 35i cars had same rear discs)
LCI side repeaters in gloss black
MSport valance / diffuser colour coded
Gloss black front grills
Rear carbon fibre spoiler colour matched
High intensity LED DRLs
Mitsubishi OE higher flow turbo
New plugs, coils, injectors, boost sensors, diverter valves, HPFP
Latest DME and bluetooth firmware
Updated, post 2015 cam chain / tensioner, turbo oil feed, oil pump drive
E90 M3 steering linkages and rear bushes
New rear light clusters with LED lights
The car was dyno'd at over 300BHP and 450nm against a stock of around 185 BHP and 300 nm torque (with a de-cat exhaust)
I'm looking for around £14,000 as that's what a dealer who specialises in Z4s has offered for in that state of revision.
The car will be available potentially in 3 weeks time once the uprated brakes, suspension, and Quaife diff are removed.
Going to winter is not the best time to sell, and I'm happy to wait till next year before moving it on.
It would be a pity that a machine that has had so much love and attention lavished on it, doesn't go to an enthusiast.
Having been used in lots of high quality trips there are some stone chips on the bumper and bonnet (around 5) and some road chips impacted paint on the rear flanks.
Overall in excellent condition for its year and mileage.
