Hi all, I’m considering selling my manual 2013 Alpine White Z4 35i and wanted to gauge interest here first.

I bought the car in September 2024 from a fellow forum member, who had also bought it from another member, so it feels only right that it’s offered back through the forum again to another enthusiast who’ll look after it.

The car has been garaged for most of its life, is in great condition and is highly specced. It also has an extensive service history, with a full folder of paperwork covering everything from routine servicing and tyre changes to smaller jobs - even have roof switches that were replaced by one of the previous owners.

I’ll list some of the main specs below, but feel free to message me for all the information or more photos.

BMW Warranty
2 keys
46k miles
M Sport package
Front and rear sensors
iDrive system

Nice looking car, but you need a price to start with.
I would also give a little more detail on the BMW warranty, previous owners (we know, forum members, but total number), last service, condition of tyres (RFT or normal)?

Can't fault the location though, I bought my white e89 with black interior from Bournemouth last year and it is great 🙂

Hi all, apologies for missing a few bits earlier, here’s some more detail:
The car has had 6 owners in total (myself, the two previous forum members, and 3 other owners).

The last service was carried out at the end of June 2025 and was a large service, including brake fluid, engine flush, oil, cabin filter, oil filter and air filter. More recently, I’ve also had the gearbox and diff fluids changed as preventative maintenance.

The rear brake pads were replaced recently, and tyre-wise it’s running Continental SportContacts all round, with approximately 5mm tread on the fronts and 6mm on the rears (two new rear tyres fitted last year).

I also paid for a full BMW health check, and I have a video from this showing the rust-free condition of the underside - happy to share this if interested.

In terms of warranty, the car is covered by BMW’s comprehensive insured warranty, which is paid yearly and renews mid-June 2026. As far as I’m aware, this can be renewed annually up to 100k miles, so at 46k miles there’s plenty of coverage left.

In terms of price, I’m looking for £15,000, which I feel is reasonable given the condition, spec and extensive service history; however I’m open to offers.

Happy to share more information, photos, or paperwork if interested 🙂

For anyone considering - the BMW insured warranty (considered one of the best) is transferable to a new owner for this car as it is paid annually.

Monthly paid BMW warrantees are not transferable (no idea why - I don't make the rules).

It's not a huge amount of money per year, and IMHO it adds a lot of confidence when making an expensive purchase.

Looks really nice - GLWS

Definitely worth it. I’ve just used it on mine. No dramas at all.

This was my old car and it really is a great car. I bought it from a festidious forum member , had it 2 years then sold it to Chaz the current owner. The BMW warranty is one of the best out there and doesn’t cost a lot of money each year for total piece of mind. In my time it was garaged every night, never driven hard, never driven in wet or rainy conditions and washed more or less every time I used it. The only reason I sold it was due to getting a campervan and using that every weekend instead of the Z4. If anyone is after a manual M Sport 3.5i then this is the one to have.

A couple other bits I forgot to mention: The car has a smartTOP module installed which adds a few convenience features, like being able to put the roof down using the key fob, one touch roof controls so you don’t have to hold the roof buttons down to operate it, and many other features; this is around a £350 module that will come with the car already installed (very easy to remove if wanted). Also I have a Revo Rack suction boot rack that I bought for longer trips but never used which was around £300 and will come with the car if wanted. Lastly, I have an official Z4 car cover which I’ve been using to cover it, which will also come with the car. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah definitely, you’ve got the sound and power from the N54 which puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I was stuck between the 30i and the 35i when I was looking for one and I’m so glad a went for the 35i, in my mind it’s the ultimate E89 Z4. I’ve had no problems with it, it’s such a great car and I’ll miss it, but unfortunately I’m wanting something with more space for longer trips.

£15k is a good price for this. The number of people who specifically want a manual 35i is probably not that high, but when one comes along they'll snap this up.

Be patient and it will sell.

Maybe a boot rack?

I sold my 2010 manual, non- MSport, 35i with 45K miles on the clock (but without a BMW warranty in place) last September for £13.5K.

Yours should sell easily. I really think it’s just the time of year that may be holding yours back at present. Nothing else. A bit of warm weather and sunshine will focus people’s minds. I wouldn’t alter the price on yours…it’s a good price.

Yeah I bought a boot rack for it - which will come with the car as part of the sale. It’s mainly the inside of the car, I’m 6’4 and the car is surprisingly comfortable on long trips but it’s started to feel cramped unfortunately.

Yeah thats my thoughts. Yours was beautiful, what made you sell it?

I possibly shouldn’t have sold it. Just boredom to do the ‘next project’ really and as I have limited space and too many cars something had to go.
My latest one is very near completion now so, probably the same thing will happen…..?

Wow another great looking car, love that colour on the E89. Definitely going to miss my car if I do sell it. Looking an an M2 or M4 as the replacement though which should keep me entertained.
